The 2025 fly fishing season on the Vineyard is officially wrapped up, and while it may be bittersweet, what a season we had! From sight fishing the flats and throwing big squid flies to bass in the rips, to running and gunning for hardtails, this season stayed action-packed until the very end. While Kismet Outfitters guided fly fishing charters on Martha's Vineyard may be finished until next spring, that doesn't mean we're hibernating! We're currently hosting a group of anglers at Soul Fly Lodge in the Berry Islands, targeting bonefish, permit, triggerfish, barracuda, and more.

Mid-July is typically the time that saltwater anglers on Martha's Vineyard and coastal New England become a bit jaded. Let's face it, from a fishing perspective, we're in between Spring's rejuvenation when warming water temps bring baitfish and fresh, liced-up stripers to our local waters, and the magic of the Island's 'Fall Run'. While the 'Dog Days' might not conjure up the romantic angling images of Spring and Fall, we're currently experiencing some of the hottest fly fishing action of the season.
