Boat Trip
At nearly 90 square miles, Martha’s Vineyard is a pretty big island with a seemingly endless amount of water to cover. Booking a guided boat charter with Kismet Outfitters opens up a world of new fishing opportunities to which the shore guys don’t have access.
Kismet Outfitters’ charter captains have decades of experience fly fishing Martha’s Vineyard and are on the water daily. We know what spot fishes best on a specific tide, time of day, wind direction, and many other elements. In a few hours, you’ll learn a wealth of fishy information that will lead to the best opportunities for finding fish on the island!
Martha’s Vineyard is one of the most dynamic and diverse fisheries on the East Coast, if not the planet! We can fish the rips or sight fish on the flats depending on the conditions, time of year, and angler preferences. To fish the different environments effectively and safely, Kismet Outfitters guides on three boats.
Our daily driver is a Parker 23-foot center console, perfect for fishing the rips, and a tremendous boat overall for fly fishing in New England. The Parker is great for those with stability issues and is a very dry ride. Another benefit is that it comfortably holds three anglers. June holds an incredible squid migration, which is made easily accessible by boat. This migration is an excellent time for both experienced and novices due to the opportunity to hold the boat in the strike zone.
Kismet Outfitters also guides on a Beavertail and Maverick skiff. Both boats are perfect for polling around the Vineyard’s immense flats. If you’re looking to sight fish to striped bass with an experienced guide poling you into position, this is the trip option for you! The boat provides a better vantage point to see those spooky stripers from afar.*
Whether you wish to fly fish from shore or boat, our experienced guides will give you the best opportunities to find and learn how to fish. Still not sure what to book? No problem! Our guides will choose the best way to get you on fish. While we are booking fast for the 2025 season, we still have dates open. Please email Stephen@kismetoutfitters.com to book your trip today!
